Hey all! We need to raise $395.00 today — to cover a consultation fee for a new attorney we are hoping to work with on some new stuff moving forward – peripheral to (but related to) our Federal Civil Rights case. The Lead Safe Mama, LLC bank accounts are at very close to zero at the moment, and we could really use some help covering this bill! Below is the link (first link below in the section with the “Additional Links” header) with the all of the ways you can chip in to support this work and help us meet our goals. Wednesday – 9/14 Update:
$395 was raised for the consultation fee! Thank you to EVERYONE who chipped in! We met with the attorney today and she agreed to take this new (small) portion of our case for an additional flat fee of $500. We have $235 available for that, so just need to raise an additional $265 to retain her. If you are able to help with something towards that, that would be amazing. Thank you.
On other fronts…
A second (less-urgent, but also very important) expense we are working to cover: We have identified a new “Lead Safe Mama Mobile” and have submitted preliminary paperwork to purchase this vehicle! After we have covered the attorney fees above, we need to raise (through earned income, contributions, or loans) the $2,500 for the down payment for the purchase of the vehicle – and we can have the vehicle as soon as this week if we are able to do that! 🙂 After the old #LeadSafeMamaMobile suddenly breaking down in Connecticut mid-trip (two weeks ago now), it would be amazing to have this chapter behind us and have a new-to-us (used, 2019) RELIABLE, EFFICIENT HYBRID vehicle to use for Lead Safe Mama work on the West Coast, and beyond! If you are in Oregon, California or Washington State and interested in hiring me in the next week or two that would be particularly timely and so helpful! I would just need to line up three home consultations to generate the funding to make this new #LeadSafeMamaMobile a reality. THANK YOU!
Upcoming Dates/Locations available:
Home consultations start at $1,200 (for a 3-hour in-person consult)
- I will be in the Southern California area on September 21-22-23 & 24 – and could add dates there on either side of that window for anyone within a 3-hour drive of Los Angeles who might like to hire me.
- I will be in the Seattle, WA area on October 2nd and 3rd – and could add a day or two in that area in my schedule for one or more additional consultations during that time .
- I will be home in Portland, Oregon starting today (through at least October 10th — with the exception of the dates noted in #s 1 and 2 above.
