I am giving away a set of Lead-free dishes as soon as Lead Safe Mama hits 4,000 followers on Instagram. This morning we passed 3,900 – and now since Lead Safe Mama is almost to 4,000 Instagram followers – I wanted to keep the fun going and do it again! So I am going to give away ANOTHER set of Lead-free dishes (the Corelle service for six pictured below) as soon as Lead Safe Mama reaches 5,000 followers on Instagram!

This is NOT a sponsored initiative at all. In fact I really should HATE Corelle for not making a good proactive public statement in response to my findings of Lead in their vintage (brightly colored) patterned dishware. BUT – in spite of the company’s history – here I depart a bit from my normal course of advice on products made by companies who have historically manufactured Leaded products – as I still love Corelle’s simple plain white (Lead-free) basic dishes as a good starting point for families to begin to have a Lead-free kitchen (a great first step on their way towards protecting the children in their lives by having a Lead-free home.) As a result I am buying these dishes to give away to one lucky follower chosen at random (each time I announce one of these giveaways.)
I am doing this because I think it will help to engage new people in the conversation for childhood Lead poisoning prevention – reaching parents (especially young moms) and grandparents – where they “live” (where they spend their time…on Instagram!)
