Continue reading below each photo of the different color beads to see the full XRF test results for that color bead.
I often share that because the Dollar stores (Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc.) have had so many violations in the past they are actually doing a good job of keeping Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Arsenic out of a lot of their products! This is yet another example of that.

I do have concerns for the presence of Antimony in these beads (it is in some of the colors, not all) – even though the levels are relatively low (especially for something a child might put in their mouth), so you may want to research that concern prior to giving these to a small child to play with (see Antimony levels for each color bead in the reading set below the image of that color bead).
When tested with an XRF instrument for a minimum of 30 seconds the beads pictured here had the following readings (metals not listed were not detected):

- Antimony (Sb): 93 +/- 30 ppm
- Bromine (Br): 287 +/- 9 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 102 +/- 11 ppm
- Copper (Cu): 27 +/- 13 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 50 +/- 22 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 552 +/- 282 ppm
Red Plastic Beads:
- Chromium (Cr): 117 +/- 53 ppm
- Antimony (Sb): 51 +/- 30 ppm
- Bromine (Br): 115 +/- 5 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 94 +/- 11 ppm
- Copper (Cu): 33 +/- 12 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 40 +/- 21 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 505 +/- 272 ppm
Purple Plastic Beads:
- Bromine (Br): 61 +/- 4 ppm
- Zinc (Zn): 94 +/- 11 ppm
- Copper (Cu): 19 +/- 11 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 58 +/- 23 ppm
- Titanium (Ti): 445 +/- 278 ppm
Pink Plastic Beads:
- Barium (Ba): 281 +/- 123 ppm
- Antimony (Sb): 51 +/- 29 ppm
