Crete, Greece
Yesterday after dinner we decided to take a walk as a family (and try to reach a castle in the mountains near where we are staying). Three of us reached the castle, two did not. While I did not quite make it (it turned out to be a very long trek through extremely tricky terrain and I am still — two-and-a-half years later — recovering from breaking my leg!).
Len (my newly-65-year-old husband) made it… but not without incident; he re-injured his bad knee while climbing up onto a large boulder — leading with the wrong leg(!) — and then found himself a bit disoriented in the rocky, completely unmarked terrain! His experience with a small herd of what he described as “rescue sheep” in the forest was truly magical and he captured much of his amazing journey back out to civilization with his phone. So he made a little video (edited by our son Avi) and wanted to share that with his friends — it’s pretty funny!

When your husband stated being ‘saved’ by the sheep it reminded me of Jesus in the Bible saying He is our Shepherd and we are his sheep. And he is the one who saves us!
What a miracle!
