The corporate greenwashing and deflection of responsibility has been coming fast and furious today! Below is KitchenAid’s response that was sent to several concerned Lead Safe Mama readers today. I will post my full response this asap.

Please can you tell me how do I address the lead issue with Kitchenaid attachments I use mine regularly and want to request all stainless steel I was concerned as well when the coating was chipped off of them with minor use .
It seems as of late that many items the food industry sells the most including food and beverages we are being continuously made sick by them or slowly poisoned including baby foods ( heinous ).
Thank you so much for the heads up regarding Kitchenaid and is it possible to get a copy of the rd party testing results for the 2,444 parts of LEAD found , I have been deeply researching just like you for 3 years now and sounding the alarms to friends and family , If we do not alert others nothing will change. also we are at the point in our lives that if we didn’t grow it or bake we should not eat it ! I think you are awesome btw .
Thank You & Happy Holidays

This is what I want to know too! I contacted them by email but feel like they will just be very combative and not helpful. I use mine a ton & always have my kids bake with me. This is nauseating

Hum, there is some (wide) variance is replies between what you posted and what I was told ON 12.21.2022.
I called Kitchenaid to purchase stainless steel attachments; customer service rep Andrew from Tennessee told me that my 5 qt. bowl lifter mixer does not have any stainless steel attachments and gave the mea culpa reply that the corp. has x years in service to its clients that they value and the levels of lead are WELL WITHIN those set by the government for ADULTS, in reference to the whisk attachment; other exposed lead services are covered with a coating. Well, how reassuring – how many cooks restrict their meals to adults only. I used the grinder for an INFANT, AS WELL a the bowl attachments. I have the choice of either PURCHASING a new Kitchenaid product that does have stainless steel attachments (and put aside my values), or continuing to consume lead. NO. Do you know if Bosch mixers are lead laden?
Have added Whirlpool Corp. to my ALEC “list” of dangerous product manufacturers and will not contribute another penny on any profit-before-people racket.

I contacted Kitchenaid after finding out about your test. I was able to have them send me, free of charge, the dough hook, mixing paddle and whisk.
Thank you for bringing this to light.

I got the same reply from Kitchen Aid via Instagram. Did you notice in their reply they say “all current models” are safe. What about my late-80’s early 90’s model?
I tried to use the chat feature on their website, but after entering in my model and serial numbers, I got a message saying there were too many people trying to chat and so the chat feature was disabled. Weird.
I typed up a letter and included a picture of my model and serial numbers. I will follow-up if I get a reply!
