Lead Safe Mama Newsletter, September 13, 2022: I’m finally back in Portland! Click through to see where my travels will take me next
September 13, 2022 — Tuesday
Coming to you today from Portland, Oregon! (Finally!)
Hello all!
Well! The past 8 days have been quite an adventure! We drove from Athens, Georgia to Atlanta and then on to Nashville! After a brief stop in Nashville (less than 24 hours!) we flew on to Denver and then I flew home last night (to Portland, Oregon).
The breakdown of the (late / retired/ recently deceased) #LeadSafeMama Mobile did put a kink in the #LeadSafeMama #CrossCountryTour2022 travel plans but we’re not letting that stop us now! If you check out the first piece below (with the purple bubble hearts, published today) you find both a request for support AND will learn where I will be traveling next (and when) in case you are interested in hiring me for a one-on-one home consultation if I am going to be in your area (hint: Southern California and Washington State are on the agenda in the coming few weeks!).
Still playing catch up, today I also published the final stats numbers for August of 2022. For those new here these are the numbers that clearly demonstrate the reach and impact of the work we do here – the reach and impact of this message (protecting people from exposure to Lead and other toxicants in their lives) that YOU are helping to make possible. Click through via the image above to see all of the highlights for August 2022 (and even some highlights already for September!).
Also below (“just in case you missed it”) — for those interested in recommendations for Lead-free products I am re-sharing (below) links to pieces I wrote about my bedroom and my kitchen (and all of the Lead-free things one can find in each of those spaces in my home!).
Thank you for supporting this work! Now that I am back in Portland (for about one week before I head south to help a family near Los Angeles on September 21st). I will do my best to spend all of my available time catching up on writing and publishing XRF test results for consumer goods and other items that families have sent in for testing! (So stay tuned!)

Tamara,
I ordered a set of HF Coors Mugs from their website since I could not see them on Amazon. The American Bistro arrived and I love them until I turned them over to see a stamped, colored label on the bottom. It is not a raised label but obviously stamped on in some way. It is a light green. Should I try to send these back and find some without a logo?
