For those new to this website:

She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005). Introduction

For each article I write, there are category keyword tabs at the top of the piece. Each of those words is a link to the category, and you can get to that category overview (to see all of the articles in that category) anytime, by clicking on any of those words. I am working on writing summary pieces for each category (like this one), so readers will be able to check out all our articles written for some of the more popular categories on the site, easily (at a glance). This is my first attempt at this, so feedback is welcome. Please let me know if these summary pieces are helpful. Thank you!

And without further ado… my vintage toy related pieces (each numbered line below is a link to an article category with links, photos and more information, including — in most pieces — XRF test results for the item discussed):

  1. Yikes!!! I run a daycare and have older toys- my own 1st 2 kids were born in ‘81 and’82. But I was always very into high quality toys from Europe, and those are the ones that are still here. I suspect Europe was well ahead of the US in this area- but how do I check? Can’t stand the general warnings- I want to know if what I own is ok or not!

  2. A number of online realtors such as AliExpress and Shien have had items testing positive for lead! Could you do a post on that? Clothing (for infants, children and maternity ware) as well as accessories like toy purses! It wa just posted in the news by CBC!

    1. Yes – I saw that! I am so behind on my writing I don’t know if I have time to write something, but I have shared the link.
