We have the turquoise and yellow plates and bowls that say “lead free” on the bottom. They are less than 10 years ol. Should we be concerned about Cadmium levels?
Have you tested any of the fiesta ivory color dishes? I have a cuboard full of them!
Thank you so much for the work you do, so glad to have found your site!
New or old? Do you know the year purchased? Do they have the “Lead-free” marking on the back?
Did you ever test the white or ivory Fiestaware? I’m so sad to give up my FW!
I like Fiesta ware.. I had recently purchased some but returned after reading your post. I wondered about the pure white. It said lead free but I am just as concerned over
cadmium and arsenic. I could not find a post on just the pure white. Thank you so much for what you have done to make us aware what in our dishes etc. Connie
Hi Tamara,
I have the red & dark blue Fiesta ware which was purchased around 2010. On the back they are stamped Fiesta/HLC/USA. How can I find out if it is safe? I can send pictures If you need me to do so.
Thank you,
Heather
Hi Heater – thanks for commenting. Yes, please start by sending me some pictures. Logo area and full dish.

We recieved Fiestaware for our wedding in 2004. We then added children and each time our children would reach kindergarten they got to pick their Fiestaware color dishes as a right-of-passage. I’m now very concerned. We have 7 colors of Fiestaware. What can I do to check them?
Do all the colors in the picture contain cadmium? Or do all modern Fiestaware contain cadmium? Thanks!!
