A Quick Note From Tamara Rubin

Hello friends!

Following up on our announcement of a  new simplified format for reporting how we have spent / are planning on spending financial support gifted by our Patreon membership each month, the above graphic is DRAFT 1.0 on how we MAY spend Patreon Support projected gifted in November of 2026. We will update this periodically as it changes (and as lab reports are published over the course of the month), and will publish a final draft of how the funds were spent in the first days of December.

To see our previous summaries detailing allocations of gifted funds, please click here. Thank you.

As noted earlier this month, hopefully a simple monthly graphic like this will be a good way to both communicate how much we spent on our lab testing initiative each month, how much was covered by Patreon support, and – when relevant – how much was not fully covered  (the monthly shortfall specifically from the our lab testing initiative program, which is just one of the many programs for Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Consumer Goods Safety coordinated by Lead Safe Mama, LLC).

If you have questions about the costs covered (as noted in the graphic) and would like to see our detailed budget for lab testing and reporting, here’s the link with more info: https://tamararubin.com/budget/

If you have other questions (if this new graphic presentation is confusing at all), please do let us know in the comments on this update and we will make adjustments to the graphic based on your feedback. I also wanted to remind y’all that I personally volunteer my time for the lab testing initiative related work, and this is noted in the budget.

The best way for you to help support this initiative is to become a PAID PATREON SUPPORTER – with a gift of just $2.00 or $3.00 a month (or more, whatever you can afford!) If we can increase our sustainable, reliable monthly income on Patreon we will be able to consistently test and report on more products each month (hopefully – sooner than later – getting back to the 30+ products a month we were testing and reporting on before the teeth of the smear campaign to discredit our work took hold and destroyed our earnings!)

Here’s our Patreon membership page link if you would like to help out by  joining us there (please also check out our upper level membership tiers if you personally would like to have a greater say on which products we send to the lab for testing): https://www.patreon.com/leadsafemama/membership

REMINDER: You can also always join us on Patreon for FREE!  Our lab testing and reporting is NEVER behind a paywall and all members (paid and free) have equal access to this information that we publish.

Separately, If you would like to make a one-time gift to help us cover our projected $3,375.00 Lab Testing Initiative shortfall from November of 2026, contributions* can be made via any of the methods below (thank you!)

  • Zelle: Testing@LeadSafeMama.com (fee-free & preferred)
  • Venmo: @LeadSafeMama
  • PayPal: Testing@LeadSafeMama.com
  • General Fund GoFundME: https://gofund.me/015fe9244
    • As of the time of publishing this update, this GoFundMe link shows that $68,998.00 has been contributed to our General Fund (for legal costs, testing costs, and operating costs) via GoFundMe over the past  9+ years since the campaign was launched in February of 2017.
    • This works out to just about $7,666.00 per year (since 2017) contributed in support of our work through this GoFundMe campaign.
    • Anything above that amount is what has been contributed since this was published on Sunday – November 8, 2026.
    • Thank you!
