“Tamara, will you test Llama Naturals in 2026?” – August 2024 Lab Report

Hi friends!
–
Over the past two years we have been getting fairly constant requests to test the Llama Naturals children’s vitamins (and even more so recently – I expect in response to a recent marketing push they are in the middle of!), so we ordered some for testing and we are currently seeking funding to cover our costs for testing and reporting on these products (and could use your help with that!) TIA!
–
Yesterday I was working on writing an update on this product and searched our email looking for the shipping confirmation email for the product we ordered (I was searching using the keywords “Llama Natural”). During that search I found an email which included an August 2024 lab report from Llama Naturals sent to us by a Lead Safe Mama community member back in October of 2024.
–
Given that October of 2024 was around the start of the orchestrated smear campaign against us (which evidence has demonstrated was apparently orchestrated by Hiya Health in response to our reporting about the heavy metals content of their children’s vitamins), we were slammed with communications around that time and somehow missed this community member’s communication and the lab report they had attached.
–
Yesterday I reviewed the August 2024 Llama Naturals lab report that was sent as an attachment (as well as the related email exchange and also responded to the person who sent it to us) and then shared the lab report and email exchange on social media. This lab report is shared below (as well as a cover note to all of you plus the communication thread that was sent to me – to help date and authenticate the communication and lab report).
–
This August 2024 lab report shows that the Llama Naturals product (which was apparently sent in to an independent USA based lab for testing, directly by the manufacturer in 2024) tested positive for ARSENIC, CADMIUM, and MERCURY. The report also shows a low threshold of detection for Lead that is too high to determine safety from a Lead-contamination perspective.
–
In our search of our emails yesterday for other relevant communications about Llama Naturals we also found a second lab report for the Llama Naturals product shared with us by a reader in May of 2025 (a lab report from a European lab dated June of 2024), that we will post and share separately (and this lab report is curious and interesting for other reasons, which is why it deserves a separate article!)
–
Now that we have found (and published) the Llama Naturals lab report from August of 2024 (below), we are even more curious to test it ourselves in 2026. The amount of Mercury noted in the 2024 report (which – again – can be found below, please scroll to the bottom of this article) is incredibly concerning, especially given Llama Naturals’ marketing and branding approach for these products! Below are several screenshots from their website taken today – November 6, 2026 – to show the marketing associated with this product, marketing that we believe is deceptive and misleading in light of the 2024 lab test results (which is also below) highlighting the following reasoning:
- The “Best Multivitamin for Kids” is not a vitamin that tests positive for Mercury.
- Noting “Third Party Tested”, without noting that the product tested positive for Mercury, Cadmium, and Arsenic is deceptive.
- A “GMP” seal? What does “Good Manufacturing Practice” mean actually? Especially if the end product tests positive for at least three heavy metals (known carcinogens and neurotoxicants).
- “No added cane sugar, no junk” – We – at Lead Safe Mama, LLC – believe that Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic (as product contaminants) could easily be classified as “junk”
Please check out these images and then continue reading below. Thank you!
Our current cost for testing and reporting on a single product (not including our copyright costs or legal costs) is $575.00. You can find our full budget here: https://tamararubin.com/budget/

Yesterday we shared on social media (full post below) that we would like to test and report on this product (in response to requests from our community) and we received about $85.00 in contributions in support of this testing and reporting. If you would like to help us get this product to the lab in the coming week (asap), please contribute via any of the methods below (and – if possible – please include a note with your contribution* letting us know that your gift is in support of this testing).
–
If you don’t include a note with your contribution we will just count the next $490.00 in undesignated contributions towards the testing and reporting for this product. Here are all of the ways to send support (thanks in advance!):
