Hi friends!
–
We appreciate you all so much – especially now when Lead Safe Mama, LLC is practically literally holding on by a mere thread. We wouldn’t be here without you and we never take the ongoing support of this community (support of our work and our mission protecting children and women of childbearing age from exposure to Lead and other toxiciants) for granted.
–
I personally have had $200.00 in cash set aside for a “true emergency fund” (money that has been sitting in my wallet since July) and we are going to be spending that today to cover some basics. That’s all that’s left, and Lead Safe Mama, LLC has more than $3,900 in urgent bills pending — so $200.00 is like sticking my finger in a dam that is about to burst.
–
I shared last month that November would be worse than October for Lead Safe Mama, LLC – and that is already true.
–
With all that we have paid the legal team over the past couple of months – and years really – (related to the matter with Hiya and other similar matters through which corporations are attempting to discredit our work and destroy our ability to cover our costs) we still urgently owe our legal team $22,085.63 that they have asked us to (somehow) cover this week if at all possible.
–
We expect that this is the last of the legal fees we will have to raise before we reach at least one settlement in the pending cases, so there is an end in sight.
–
I acknowledge that this is a lot of money – but I also am very hopeful and I see that Justice is possible (and likely) within the coming month-or-two-or-three.
–
In a perfect world we would identify someone (a person? a business? an agency?) to help us relatively immediately with one final (generous) short-term loan (perhaps you know someone who is committed to children’s health and well-being who has the financial resources to help in this way?)
–
Absent a loan we need to continue to rely on contributions (in any amount) to bridge this gap.
–
Please contribute if you can.
–
We’re in the home stretch.
–
I have faith that Truth and Justice will prevail.
–
We just need your help to keep going.
–
Once we get through this we hope to be able to set up a legal fund with a significant portion of any settlement funds, so that we will no longer need to rely on community support (and so we can support other children’s health advocates who find themselves in similar situations). However now – today – we have no other resources beyond the potential support of our community.

Ways to support the work are below.

Thank you for reading.

If you – or someone you know – is in a position to make a short-term loan (likely 3-to-6 months, for this final stretch of what has been a very long journey), please have them either text me (at 415-609-3182) or email me (@ Tamara@LeadSafeMama.com) and I will set up a time to chat with them to go over the details.
–
Payments (either loans or gifts) can also be made directly with a credit card to our lawyers (if you would like to help in that way, let me know – text or email – and I will get you a payment link!)
–
Otherwise contributions* can be made via the following channels (and gifts of any amount will make a difference!) Thank you.
