Home again, home again…

Tuesday
Hello friends!
Yes – we are still here!
I apologize for the extended bits of radio-silence.
I have arrived back in Portland (today is my first full day home), after getting home in the wee hours yesterday (Monday) around 3:00 a.m. and then to bed sometime around 4:00 a.m. after unpacking the car!!! It was a big push after being on the road a full month meeting with so many of you! — one final 10+ hour driving day (not something I recommend).
All day yesterday and all day today (so far), my time (and the Lead Safe Mama Team’s time – especially Sarah, thank you Sarah!) has been spent working on our various legal cases. We’re just wrapping up some pending details and then can get back to publishing more lab reports later today — so please do stand by for that.
For our copyright case (against the Oasis Health App), we were able to file copyright registrations for 29 lab reports so far, most of which should qualify for statutory damages awards in this matter. Our actions in this matter (our legal filing against Oasis) will hopefully serve to discourage this kind of AI driven intellectual property theft in the future (for us, and for others publishing similar materials).
It is our copyright attorney’s advice that we continue to file copyrights for each of our lab reports (at least until this case is settled — a settlement which will hopefully help establish a fund to cover these copyright filings into the future). To this end, contributions and loans in support of the work are always welcome – each $65.00 copyright fee raised helps us to publish another not-yet-published lab report (removing the concern for these reports to be used and misused without our permission or consent). Our attorney has specifically asked us not to publish lab reports unless we have funds to register the copyright for them (ideally at the time of publishing, or shortly thereafter).
If you are new here, more details on the situation can be found here:

If you are able to contribute in support of our work (or loan us funds) the following pathways are available (just email Tamara@LeadSafeMama.com if you would like us to track your funds as a loan, so we can pay you back as soon as funds are available – thank you!) Gifted funds in any amount are welcome, however $65.00 covers one full copyright filing fee.

& of course – bumping your Patreon membership up by $1.00 or $2.00 a month is a great way to show your support of our work and to help us cover these ongoing new costs:

As previously noted, we need to raise a total of at least $13,000 to cover some of the outstanding fees of one of our current three legal teams in order to go ahead with the copyright violation case, and we have made some good progress in that area. If we were to pay their full bill at this time (which would be ideal!) – this is about $27,000.
To help cover these legal costs…

We have at least two people interested in buying our XRF instrument — which we acquired and had certified/ factory refurbished shortly after the Pandemic – in March of 2022 — and are still actively exploring that option:

One community member who has – over the past year – loaned funds in support of our legal case wanted to make sure we invite others to join her in helping to see justice served (so we don’t have to sell the instrument if possible). She has most recently loaned $5,000 for legal fees and would like us to invite others to join her with a match of support. Loaned funds can be sent to us via any of the channels above OR paid directly to our legal team (on your credit card even – so you can get the points!) Let us know if you would like to help in this way and we will get you our lawyer’s payment link. Thank you!
Please stand by for more test results, and thank you for supporting the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC in all the ways!

Reminder: Lead Safe Mama, LLC is a community collaborative organization – we test and report on products that you (our community) asks us to test and report on, with the costs of testing and reporting paid for by you as well. We couldn’t do what we do without your support, however we are not a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so contributions in support of our work are not classified as tax-deductible gifts to charity.
