Hi all!

I shared this (the image with this post) on social media yesterday as we need to raise funds (at least $13,000 before July 20th) for the next step in our copyright lawsuit against the Oasis App.
–
The Oasis app has stolen and used literally hundreds of our lab reports and charts without our permission (possibly as many as 600) — integrating these Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s copyrighted documents into their app and website – often calling them their own.
–
In doing so – they haven’t just stolen them from Lead Safe Mama, LLC – they have stolen from our entire community that contributed to make this work possible – they have stolen from you. They then turned around and monetized the information that we make available online (without cost, not behind a paywall), by charging people $47.00 a year to have access to an app based (in large part) on our work.
–
They did this by using AI to scrape nearly everything off of our website.

[Note: our Lead Safe Llama app will be finished soon and will have a free option and an option to pay $2.99 a year – with the same privileges for each option! Our app will include all of our lab reports and will not have any AI slop! Our app will also have NO B.S. RATINGS SYSTEM – just the facts m’am, just the test results and lab reports!]

The Oasis app / their owner have used our copyrighted materials without compensating us, without providing proper attribution, and also – in doing so – have misrepresented many of the lab reports in many different ways!

In fact the Oasis App’s misrepresentation of our lab reports has been so egregious that it has actually landed them in hot water — with at least one product manufacturer suing them because they have publicly misinterpreted our lab reports (an image of our lab report is included in this lawsuit, but we are not mentioned by name): https://courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/lmnt-lawsuit.pdf

We did communicate with the owner of the Oasis App last month (June 2026) to see if they would like to “get legal” by licensing the hundreds of Lead Safe Mama, LLC copyrighted lab reports that essentially function as the backbone of their app (an app which is – by some of their public statements – bringing in more than $10,000,000 a year.!)

In our offer we proposed an equitable and reasonable financial arrangement given their app is BASED on the promise of sharing actual lab reports, when it would appear that possibly 60 to 80% of the lab reports embedded in their product specific records (the records that have actual lab reports, which is a very small percentage of their total records since most of their records are AI slop!) appear to be Lead Safe Mama, LLC owned and published copyrighted reports!

In this agreement we also stated that we would require them to include a disclaimer on any records that incorporate our lab reports – a disclaimer saying we do not endorse nor agree with their interpretation of the data from our lab reports they use (and we do not endorse nor agree with their rating system).

They did not respond to our offer at all (even though we confirmed they did receive it via both email and certified mail), so we are taking the next steps and filing a copyright infringement lawsuit against them to: #1) get them to stop using Lead Safe Mama, LLC lab reports without permission and #2) get them to STOP misrepresenting the data in our lab reports (to the degree that it is possible for us to curtail that unethical behavior – only as it relates to our lab reports) — because if they aren’t using our lab reports they will not be misrepresenting them!

I am working on a more detailed write up of the situation to share with all of you, but this has – unfortunately – been a focus of ours over the last several days (past several months actually too).
–
We have been capturing video and screen shot evidence showing hundreds of their records that use our lab reports, should we need to take this to a trial. We have also (as you know) been filing copyright documentation with the feds (the United States Federal Copyright Office) for many of the lab reports of ours that Oasis has used (specifically for lab reports that we published in the past 3-months, as there is a window of enforceability of statutory damages as long as reports are filed within three months of initial publication).

As the Oasis App’s illegal usage of hundreds of our reports is obviously willful, we are hoping that the judge will find in our favor and award maximum statutory damages for at least all of the lab reports that we have more formally copyrighted through the United States Copyright Office.

We have formally filed 24 copyrights so far, and have a few more to wrap up over the coming days to strengthen our case, however a judge is also likely to award damages not just for those reports for which we have filed copyrights, but also for all of the others as they are copyrighted by default – simply with the action of being published on our website (albeit with fewer layers of protections, legally).

Our Legal Team!

We have three lawyers who have offered to help with this case.
–
A copyright lawyer in New York is part of the team and he is working on contingency.
–
A copyright lawyer in Florida is helping us too – she has been helping a bit pro-bono for some of the work she is helping us with and also – generously – on deferred payment for other elements.
–
Unfortunately we need local representation in Oregon (to collaborate with these other attorneys in drafting the copyright complaint which will be filed in Federal Court), and our local Oregon attorney requires a payment of about $13,000 to go ahead with assisting with this case this month (adding this case to the set of cases she is working on for us – officially). This $13,000.00 is part of the approximately $27,000.00 what we currently owe her for other projects she has been working on for us.

We therefore came up with the idea of selling our XRF instrument to cover the costs.
–
Other ways we could raise these funds: finalizing a newsletter sponsor for the 2026 / 2027 calendar year, or receiving a generous low-interest (or no interest?) loan from one of you – someone in our community.
–
We’re open to anything that might work to help move this case forward quickly.
–
One of our attorneys has said that the case could likely settle in a couple of months (after we file), as it seems fairly certain that Oasis is not going to want to litigate this (it would end up being far too costly for them to do that – with a likely settlement in the range of many millions of dollars if this goes to court!)
–
Selling our XRF Instrument (a tool that is somewhat critical in our work) may seem like a horrible compromise, but it really is not. Two of our pending legal actions will include awards of legal fees once they are settled (which would reimburse us for the costs paid and thereby allow us to get our second instrument refurbished and put into service, or possibly will allow us the opportunity to buy a new instrument at that time).

We have also been using XRF instrumentation for testing less and less since we started doing the lab testing in March of 2024, and we have at least six months of work to do to catch up on our writing and publishing without even picking up an XRF instrument at this time, so selling the instrument at this time would truly not impact our workflow through the end of this Calendar year.
