Now Sky & Sol is Pretending to be Netflix (see Image!)

Hi all!

We got the email (image above) just before midnight last night (May 1, 2026).

Now Sky & Sol has filed take down requests for our Social Media Pages (Facebook, Instagram AND PATREON), claiming to be NETFLIX, DISNEY, NBC, & the NFL — all because we reported that their sunscreen tested positive for an incredibly significant amount of Lead!

These social media pages take copyright violation reports very seriously and are very likely to act on them (even though we have an attorney helping us to fight this nonsense). So our Instagram and Facebook pages could disappear overnight if we keep being slammed with these false reports over the weekend.

I have learned (in talking to members of our legal team) that — apparently — copyright violation reports are the only type of report that social media companies act on quickly because they face significant consequences if these complaints turn out to be legitimate and they do not act quickly (so they act, EVEN IF those copyright violation reports are FALSE – as a CYA – because they don’t actually have real people evaluating each report!) This is why Sky & Sol is using this fraudulent method to try to get our articles taken down.

In response to these false attacks on our work — and more challenges we are facing in the form of push-back from industry — we could really use your financial support today especially if you are not yet a paid Patreon member, or if you have not yet made a one-time gift in support of our legal fund this year.

If you would like us to keep doing what we do – including helping families in crisis, publishing lab reports for community nominated products, and writing up comparative summaries of lab test results as well, please contribute something today – Saturday, May 2, 2026 – to help keep the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC going.

Having made a payment to our lawyers this week (we’re in the middle of three different legal challenges related to the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC), we still need to raise funds to pay for our website costs (including hosting and maintenance and spam-attack prevention), our newsletter costs, our team costs, and more — as well as lab testing costs for not-yet fully funded products.

We have about 40 lab reports ready to publish today (and will be working on those throughout the weekend, sharing them on Patreon first as they are published), but we request your support to help us cover even the basic costs of this work so we can keep doing what we do and make it through the weekend.

If everyone here contributed just $5.00 today we would be in very good shape, so please do consider helping with financial support and joining as a paid Patreon Member if you are not already a paid Lead Safe Mama Patreon Member ($5.00 a month from more than 1,000 people would go a long way to keep our work going, and our lawyers paid!) Alternately, Lead Safe Mama, LLC could urgently use a loan of about $4,800 to help us get through this time (to keep the website running and our costs covered).

Yesterday (May 1, 2026) friends (together) contributed a total of $141.72 in support of our work (including GoFundMe, Venmo, and Patreon support), and we are so thankful for each and every gift, yet this amount does not begin to cover our legal fees and related costs — we really need a rally of support this weekend more than ever before to help Lead Safe Mama, LLC stay afloat.

REMINDER: It has been the stated GOAL of these attacks on our work to get us shut down – to put us out of business, and we will not let that happen, but we need your help.

@influencers.skyandsol skyandsolco has been hiring someone to file these FAKE Copyright Violation Reports against us – trying to get you – Instagram (has actually succeeding in getting you / Instagram) to take down MY OWN copyrighted materials from my OWN pages, by claiming these materials have copyrights belong to Netflix, NBC, Disney and even the NFL!

Sky & Sol is doing this (I cannot tag the company directly because they have blocked us), in response to us reporting that their sunscreen has the highest level of Lead out of all of the 36+ sunscreens we have tested and reported on to date with the Lead Safe Mama, LLC Community Collaborative Laboratory Testing Initiative.

Our testing is legitimate, scientific, independent, third party lab testing and the articles we write (and the lab reports we share) are our copyrighted materials! SkyAndSolCo should be banned from Instagram for doing this – as it is fraudulent, unethical and a breach of Instagram’s policies.
