Sky & Sol is Pretending to Be Disney, the NFL and NBC Universal in an Effort to Get Our Reports About Their Products Taken Down

I posted this on social media earlier today. I don’t have time to edit for the site here, but wanted to share this with you today. I also posted this on Patreon.

Sky and Sol is engaging in fraudulent business practices to try to get our content removed from Instagram and Facebook. They are claiming that the article we wrote about their product is copyrighted material belonging to other entities (including – randomly – NBC, Disney and the NFL!).

Specifically, Sky & Sol (through their agents, whoever is doing this on their behalf) are claiming that our article about the high levels of Lead found in their sunscreen products [products that they claim are “safe enough to eat” and that they are “made with edible ingredients” — products with the highest level of Lead we have identified in a sunscreen to date with independent, third-party lab testing through the Lead Safe Mama, LLC Community Collaborative Laboratory Testing Initiative] is copyrighted by other major businesses or agencies! Including:

Image #1 – copyrighted material belonging to NBC Universal,

Image #2 – copyrighted material belonging to the NFL – and
–
Image #3 – copyrighted material belonging to Disney!

All of these claims are – of course – entirely false.

The material in question is an article we have written in our capacity as an organization that serves as a reporter / journalism outlet / news source regarding these matters. This article belongs to no one but Lead Safe Mama, LLC and is also expressly copyrighted material belonging to Lead Safe Mama, LLC

All of the Sky & Sol claims have been made under oath with a form that states they confirm their claim is true.

We have an amazing Copyright attorney helping us with this nonsense – and we hope this will encourage ALL OF YOU to join us on Patreon (just in case our social media accounts get shut down by these fraudulent/ false claims).
