Testing Bryan Johnson Blueprint Snake Oil Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, & Arsenic with Third-Party, Independent Laboratory Testing

A Quick Note from Tamara Rubin:
This “Snake Oil“ product sold by Bryan Johnson’s Blueprint brand tested “non-detect” for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic (with the limits of detection for each metal noted in the lab report at the bottom of this page) when we sent it in for independent, third-party, community funded laboratory testing.

It is also NOT ORGANIC, and is sold as a supplement (vs. as an olive oil one might use for salad dressing or other cooking purposes). This is the only olive oil product that we have tested to date (as of June 23, 2025) that tested “non-detect” for all four toxicants. The one other olive oil product we tested was positive for traces of Lead — read that article and the related lab report here.
It is also important to highlight that other than this Bryan Johnson “Snake Oil” product, every other Bryan Johnson Blueprint brand product we have sent to the lab for testing has tested positive for concerning levels of toxicants (heavy metals), which is especially notable given the context and messaging behind the Bryan Johnson Blueprint brand (promising longevity and extended life/ the absence of dying)!
To reiterate: this olive oil (“Snake Oil”) is the very first Bryan Johnson Blueprint product for which our laboratory testing came back “non-detect” for toxicants across the board (Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic).
