Our comparative chart of toothpaste toxicity (testing for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic): How does this Toothpaste product rank?

On our chart comparing the toxicant profiles of 51 toothpaste products (below), this Desert Essence For Kids Toothpaste product tested positive for a not-insignificant amount of Lead. To see the most recent version of the chart below, please click this link. The image below is our toothpaste chart as of publishing this article and it is updated periodically as we publish new lab reports. This product is shown on line #29 of the chart below, which has arranged products in order of ascending Lead levels (lowest to highest). This means that 28 of the 53 products we have tested to date (toothpastes, tooth powders, and two common toothpaste ingredients tested independently) tested positive for lower levels of Lead when compared to this product (or tested non-detect for Lead) !
