Lead Safe Mama, LLC Fundraisers for Toothpaste Testing

- The list below is of all of our not-yet-funded campaigns for raising money to cover the cost of testing and reporting on toothpaste and tooth powders (testing for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic).
- This is a community-funded initiative (Lead Safe Mama, LLC is coordinating the testing and the greater Lead Safe Mama community covers the cost of the testing and nominates the products for testing).
- Please contribute $5 or $10 (or whatever you can afford) in support of getting any of the brands you have used with your family tested.
- These published results are helping countless families make safer choices AND we are hoping this new body of brand-specific information (publicly available and not behind a paywall) may also help clean up the toothpaste industry (through regulation or simply consumer pressure) so we have more safer choices available for our children.

- All of these products were nominated for testing by members of the Lead Safe Mama community.

I am desperate to find a kids toothpaste that is free from heavy metals. My 2 year old likes to eat the toothpaste and she had high lead a year ago. It’s normal now but now the toothpaste we are using just came back with high lead. Jack and Jill kids toothpaste. Thank you for all you do for us!

Has anyone else looked at the ingredients in sensodynes deep clean gel? It doesn’t have calcium carbonate, hydroxyapetite, xylitol, or sls. It has most of the same ingredients in the only safe kind toothpaste and the safer ones listed plus a couple other ingredients. I’d be really curious to see hot that would treat given for the adult ones you tested it wasn’t as bad as the others… still not good though
