Tamara Rubin is a multiple-federal-award-winning independent advocate for childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety, and a documentary filmmaker. She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her four sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005).

    1. The unsubscribe link for the newsletter is at the bottom of every newsletter. If you have subscribed to the RSS feed there should also be an unsubscribe button at the bottom of any RSS notice you get. I will see if I can figure out where you are subscribed and unsubscribe you – but I think for the RSS you have to do it yourself.

  2. This is a bit reassuring, as people often let their children play with things that aren’t meant to be toys. It made me think about how many babies I’ve seen playing with their parents filthy keys (cringe). Have you done tests on house and car keys?

    1. Lots! A Key is in my logo! Look up “House Key” here on the site and you will see a bunch of test results!

  3. Hi Tamara,
    I have always wondered about the little metal ball inside of jingle bells. I read your post about a child swallowing a lead pellet from inside a maraca and immediately thought about these little decorative bells. Do they ever use leaded pellets inside them?
