For those new to this website:
Tamara Rubin is a multiple-Federal-award-winning independent advocate for childhood Lead-poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety, and a documentary filmmaker. She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005). Since 2009, Tamara has been using XRF technology (a scientific method used by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) to test consumer goods for toxicants (specifically heavy metals — including Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Antimony, and Arsenic). All test results reported on this website are science-based, accurate, and replicable. Items are tested multiple times to confirm the test results for each component tested. Tamara’s work was featured in Consumer Reports Magazine in February of 2023 (March 2023 print edition).
July 17, 2023 — Monday
Each year I periodically publish summaries of website traffic and income generated by your engagement on the Lead Safe Mama website so that YOU (Lead Safe Mama readers) have a tangible way to measure the difference you are making in supporting this work.
This summary (including the graphic and spreadsheet below) shows the total Amazon Affiliate income for Lead Safe Mama, LLC for all years to date (since we started as an Amazon Affiliate in December 2016) through the end of June 2023. This is income earned from readers (like you!) clicking on Amazon Affiliate links (like this one!) before you start your Amazon shopping. I am publishing this today as it is part of our semi-annual report (which I expect to publish later today – stand by)!
Historically, since we started as an Amazon Affiliate, that revenue stream has represented about 25% of Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s gross business income most years — helping to cover the basic costs of what we do here every day. My dear friend Carissa has been my coach and mentor in helping create and slowly grow this income stream in support of this advocacy work (literally building us up from ZERO)! If you are interested in hiring Carissa to be your coach (helping you build an income stream in support of your work via your own website), please e-mail me and I can put you in touch with her.
Goals/ Wishes/ Dreams
Note: While our ambitious monthly and annual goals might appear “outrageous” and “unattainable” (from a conventional perspective), we have had months in which we have demonstrated that achieving such ambitious goals is actually possible (with the fantastic support of the Lead Safe Mama community)! We set these “outrageous” goals knowing that if we can reach them, we will be able to pay off possibly all of the debt related to our Federal Civil Rights legal battle within a year — which is the main reason we have set such aggressive goals. We also know (from our track record/history) that the first step in achieving any really big goals is daring to imagine, and publicly declare/share them! 🙂
Reminder: You don’t have to buy what we link to for us to earn a percentage of what you spend on any given day on Amazon… just start your Amazon shopping (BEFORE you add anything to your cart) by clicking on any Lead Safe Mama, LLC affiliate link and we may earn a percentage of what you spend at no extra cost to you! Here’s a link again!
And without further ado…
Here’s a full chart with the breakdown
of Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s Amazon Affiliate income
month-by-month since we first started as an Amazon affiliate in 2016:
Note: Income is shown below by “Month Earned.”
Amazon Affiliate income is paid with a two-month delay.
As always, Thank You for being here; Thank You for reading and sharing the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC. And, Thank You for clicking on our Amazon Affiliate links (like this one) before you start any Amazon shopping that you might be planning to do! Your support in this small way is critical to helping us continue the childhood Lead-poisoning prevention advocacy work we do, and the independent consumer goods testing we report here on this website each year.

I wish there was an easier way to remember this. I’ve only remembered once since I started reading your newsletter in the past year. I wish I could put it on my amazon account somehow.

I think you can save a link in your browser – perhaps even just the link to this page? Thank you so much!

I copied your Amazon storefront link into my notes and so I just go there and click it and I’m there! So much easier for me!
