I earned $114.43 yesterday. Can you help me earn enough to pay off my legal debt by sharing articles this holiday season?

For those new to this website:

Tamara Rubin is a multiple-federal-award-winning independent advocate for childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety, and a documentary filmmaker. She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005). Since 2009, Tamara has been using XRF technology (a scientific method used by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) to test consumer goods for toxicants (specifically heavy metals — including Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Antimony, and Arsenic). Tamara’s work was featured in Consumer Reports Magazine in February of 2023 (March 2023 print edition).

Hi friends.

Yesterday I earned $114.43 from people reading the website.
 
  • If I earned that much every day of the year, that would be $41,766.95 a year!
  • For me to make a living (and cover my business expenses 100% — including my legal team costs) I need to earn about twice that from advertising every day of the year.
  • Many days I earn closer to $20 or $30.
  • $114 is not a “usual” amount for me to earn in a day.
  • I work very hard for that $114.43. There were nearly 7,000 page views on the site yesterday and I spent almost the entire day online answering questions for all of you (and then some in comments on the Lead Safe Mama page, here in the group, in e-mails, in texts, and in private Facebook messages and phone calls).

I am writing you now with a request.

This is the best time of the year for me to earn money on LeadSafeMama.com from advertising because this is when advertisers pay sometimes twice what they normally pay to have their ads seen by people who read websites.
 
With your help, I have the opportunity to earn three or four times what I earned today (to help make up for the rest of the very slow months this year) IF you all can help by sharing our articles more often from now til the end of the year.
 
If you don’t normally share our work, PLEASE consider sharing one or two a week on your Facebook page and Twitter accounts from now through New Year’s to help cover business costs and get current with my legal defense team.

Why do you have a legal team and how much do you owe them?

 
I still owe lawyers directly nearly $52,000 more and owe many other friends and readers who helped with loans to cover legal fees and other costs over the past four years over $200,000 in addition to that. Without their help, it would not have been possible for me to defend my advocacy work during this 4(+) year legal battle.
 
In the past year, I have been working my ass off and have paid down more than $70,000 of the debt from my legal battle (the total was over $331,000 originally!) — but I would really love to pay off all of the loans from friends now as many of them have waited long enough and with CoViD-19 everyone could use the money! 
 
I know now that I cannot count on proceeds from my legal battle to cover these costs any time soon — my civil rights lawsuit, which we originally filed in August of 2019, most likely isn’t going to conclude for at least another 12-18 months, because things have been put off due to CoViD-19 (“Discovery” in my case was pushed back to January 2021!). But I want to keep doing what I can to pay back the friends who have made loans to help during this time!
 

HOW YOU CAN HELP (specifically):

Just sharing articles over the next 10 weeks could help me earn enough to pay off a huge chunk of this debt if enough of you get on board with helping in this way.
 

One scenario:

  • There are 67 days until New Year’s.
  • If I had 28,000 page views per day (at this rate, four times what I had yesterday!), that would mean I could earn $457.72 each day.
  • If this happened for the next 67 days, I could earn $30,667.24 by the end of the year.
  • $30,667.24 would put a HUGE dent in my legal bills and is totally possible with YOUR HELP.

You have to copy a link DIRECTLY from the website WITHOUT any Facebook tracking ID code before you share it. So don’t click through to my website from Facebook to grab a link — instead:
  • open a new browser window.
  • Type in my url: http:// www.LeadSafeMama.com and …
  • … then choose one of the articles on the home page to share.
  • The top 12 articles are on the top of the home page each and every day and the newest pieces are the bottom 10. The “Start Here” is always the first article in the second section.
  •  Copy the link for the piece you choose and paste it onto Facebook and Twitter. That’s it.

It would be amazing for the Corelle or Tupperware pieces to go viral again this winter (like they did last year) but I will also try to keep writing new and engaging articles as often as I can — and who knows… maybe something else I write will go viral, too! But — in the meantime — if you could share those viral pieces from last year in relevant groups, that would be great, too (parenting groups? homemaking groups? collectors groups?).

Just ONE of those articles shared in the right group by one of you could trigger an amazing holiday season for Lead Safe Mama!

This is the first day I have made over $100 from advertising income in a VERY LONG WHILE and I need your support to help keep this up (and maybe turn the tides, making 2020 an amazing year for Lead Safe Mama, LLC).
