Writing to you today from a cabin on a lake in a forest in MAINE!
In an effort to get caught up on a few things I am behind on – I am going to post a handful of posts today with just the XRF readings for that item. IF you have additional questions about the item, please let me know. If you want to know more about the implications of any test results reported OR about the testing methodology I employ – please look through the posts in the menu (which is at the top of each page of the website and has posts that cover all aspects of what I do!) Thanks for being here!

I asked you a question yesterday but you haven’t answered it. What glass measuring cups can I use that are lead free?
Tamara says
Hi Vivienne – I get hundreds of inquiries every single day and – unfortunately. – cannot answer all of them personally. Please do look up “Measuring cups” here on the blog and you will find my post with Lead-free measuring cup choices. There is a search bar on every page. You can also find the “Measuring cups” post in the menu under the “shop” tab by clicking through to the “safer choices” overview post – or the “Glass measuring cups” overview post. [So there are several ways to find this same information here on the blog.]
Thanks for commenting!

Hi Tamara,
I am looking to purchase new dinnerware and have found some beautiful ones form “222 Fifth” I see on Wayfair that many are listed as lead free but I would like to know if you have any information on this particular maker. I see the mug you tested and I am feeling a little nervous. The two sets I am looking at are the 222 Fifth Christmas Foliage Green and the 222 Fifth Adelaide Grey 16-Piece Dinnerware Set. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Barbara

Thank you so much Tamara for all that you do to help educate us, and help keep our families healthy. I have gotten rid of so many antique dinnerware… but I found a set that was just mentioned above, by another “Barbara”. 222 Fifth Adelaide Blue, instead of the gray mentioned. My husband bought the set for me, for our anniversary. It is advertised as lead-free, but as we know, that doesn’t mean anything. It’s discouraging that the mugs mentioned have lead, so I’m prepared for the answer I do not want to hear. Thank you so very much for your hard work. May the Lord bless you!!
