  1. This is Cristal D’Arques Durand and made in France I’m pretty sure! They make beautiful glass items.

    1. Hi Marisa!

Thanks so much for commenting. This is so pretty I am happy to have some brand info so my readers can look for more of it. I will update the post as soon as I have a moment.

      1. I spent quite some time looking for this and am thrilled to see it is lead free! To help anyone else, this pattern is called “Antique” and it was produced from 1990-2010. I usually find it by searching for “Luminarc” because that’s what the old boxes say and commonly how it’s listed on sites like ebay. It is extremely easy to find secondhand, especially at thrift stores. This set has lovely mugs too. Thanks so much for testing it!

  2. Hello Tamara,
Absolutely love your site! It’s been a life saver!
I have the CRISTAL D’ARQUES plates in the vintage Ruby red. In your experience, do you think there is any chance they contain lead or cadmium due to their color? Other than the color, they look exactly like the clear one above.

  3. This brand was originally made in France then later a USA factory was established. The history can be found online.

  4. I’m currently in search of some small clear glass plates for my family to use for small snacks. I know Dollar Tree sells some. Would you buy clear glass from Dollar Tree? Maybe you have a brand of small dessert/salad sized plates that you recommend? Thanks!

    1. Yes – no painted markings – Dollar tree plain glass dishes will be free of Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Arsenic most likely. Walmart, target, and Ikea also have inexpensive glass (white and clear) Lead-free options.
