  1. I live in New Zealand and we do not have Amazon or IKEA.
I only eat from Wedgewood’s Esme dinnerset and my grandchildren off Bunnykins. Both 2 generations old. I am appalled and don’t know what to buy to replace these as this website is very U.S, centric.
I am on day 4 of covid and this is overwhelming!!!

    1. brand new clear glass from most brands is a good choice and can be found in many “big box” stores in different countries. Hang in there! Definitely get blood lead tests for the kiddos if you can!

      1. So besides using your xrf or whatever meter and posting outrageous results what are you doing to actually help us? I don’t see a simple list of lead free dishes available I don’t see you selling meters or test kits u say are everywhere I don’t see names of law firms even capable of handling lead cases. Seems like u keep doing the same thing over and and people ask the same questions. Have u raised a political voice to anyone to change lead ceramic laws or is this the extent u go.it seems to me u want to keep the lead theme going because u make money of it. No platform no money. So I assume u will continue to join us in our outrage with random dishes being posted regularly with crazy numbers next to them. Let us no when your actually ready to do something about lead. There’s to many people like you that say their bringing awareness to a problem while doing nothing about it.

        1. Boy – David… did you wake up on the wrong side of bed? Sorry you are so angry. Sounds like you have not reviewed my website carefully. I am a mother of disabled (acutely lead poisoned) children. What do you want me to do for you? Why do you feel I have an obligation to do more than I am doing? I have written laws, supported legislation, I support news stories and press on the subject, I made a documentary feature film. You are not very nice – and quite entitled – perhaps a middle aged white man who cannot take his aggression out on his wife (because she is too strong for you) so you decided to take it out on an activist and mother of Lead poisoned children who has dedicated her life to a cause?

I spend most of my time personally counseling families of acutely lead poisoned children. What do you do?

Have a great Thanksgiving and I hope you treat your family better than you treat strangers.

Oh – yeah and Fuck Off – thanks for writing 🙂

        2. Tell me you haven’t read her bio or gone through her site without telling me and you get your comment. Also, if you’re going to try and insult someone at least use proper grammar.

  2. Hi Tamara, I live in UK, and I have just bought vintage Gordon blue slow cooker from eBay, which I was after for a while. I was after this specific model as its crock pot his camo coloured glaze, on the inside, rather than shiny bright coloured glaze like many vintage Gordon blue, Rival, Crockpot brands were in those days. I don’t know if it makes any difference, but I heard bright shiny colour glaze has lead in them more than light colours.

My question is, I am sure golden bleu slow cooker models were used in. US too, so have you ever done any lead test on any Gordon bleu..?

The other thing is, I am sure conduct lead test in very professional competent and forensic level. However, as a lay person, how I can conduct a test that is going to be reliable and trustable?

    Thank you for your time
