I took a couple of days “off” with my kids (at the forest and the beach)! And of course, along the way I stopped in at a thrift store or two, to see what vintage finds I might come across that would make a good addition to my book or my website. There are so many antique and thrift stores out here on the Oregon Coast (and in the countryside). I could spend all my time (and probably all my money) on new (to me) Leaded (or potentially Leaded) junk to test! However, I had to keep my budget under $12 — because that’s all I had available, and the picture below is what I picked up so far on this trip.
I’d love to have a budget to pick up a few more things while I am out and about (with the aid of a car — something I don’t ordinarily have access to) with my kids! Please consider contributing $5 or $10 in support of my work to make it possible for me to procure some new items to report on LeadSafeMama.com! This will help so many people (identify unsafe items in their homes), that it is truly for “the common good.” 🙂 When you make a contribution you can also send me a quick note of what you would like me to look for, and I will see if I can find it! (I am already on the hunt for vintage Sesame Street toys for one reader!)
Here’s the link to contribute something in support of this work!
Thank you for reading and for sharing my posts!
As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
