I found an attorney to draft my tort claim against the State of Oregon, and now I just need to raise $1,500 today to cover his fee! #TIA

Hello all.

I am so very excited that I finally found a highly-qualified attorney to draft my tort claim against the various agencies and representatives identified in my tort claim notice!

He has requested a flat fee for this, of $1,500 in order to draft this in time for the May 10, 2019 deadline.

This is possibly the most critical juncture in my legal case, and is incredibly time-sensitive at this point —as this tort claim needs to be filed no later than May 10, 2019 (next Friday!). I am asking you (my readers) to help me find someone (you? a friend? a business associate?) who can provide a loan of at least $1,500 to cover this cost — and that loan will be repaid with – hopefully reasonable – interest, if so desired, within the next year (and possibly within the next month or two, if a settlement is reached on the tort.)

If you are not yet familiar with my tort claim against various agencies in the State of Oregon, please click here to read that in full, it is four pages.

I also have other costs related to this (specifically, $5,000 due for my other attorney working on the case right now, and close to $5,000 for the bookkeeper who is doing the forensic work on the case right now) so I would be open to (and thankful for) a larger loan at this time (in support of my legal case)… but $1,500 is the minimum I need most urgently to go ahead with the next steps.

Despite my immediate urgent need for funds to pay to file the tort, my income in general is trending upward — especially with the money I earned in March of 2019. Through my advertising contract on this website — my business (Lead Safe Mama, LLC) earned more than $13,000 in advertising income in March, thanks in large part to #TupperwareGate2019 – and while most of that is already promised to my attorney team when it lands [in late-May/early-June], I share this to demonstrate that I expect to also have the capacity to repay loans out of earned funds from my work.

This is urgent.

This is a critical juncture.

Thank you all for your continued support of my work – especially in these trying times!

Please e-mail or text if you can help with a loan at this time: TamaraRubin@mac.com or 415-609-3182, and I will get right back to you a.s.a.p.. I am happy to pay even generous interest, and will also sign a formal loan agreement with anyone who can help in this way.

My legal team has been advising me to offer to settle for a low number, because fighting for justice is expensive and they are concerned that I will be financially, physically and mentally worn out by the end of this.

I am not worn out.

I am tired, but I do intend to keep fighting until justice is served — because I am not just fighting for myself and my own family, I am fighting for all of you, too. It should not be so easy for government agencies to destroy the work and life of an environmental activist with absolutely no cause – based on a fraudulent “anonymous complaint” [allegedly – we’re supposed to simply accept the claim that it exists; they have resisted all my lawyers’ attempts so far to substantiate that there even ever was one] .

We need to demand change in the system and my case represents that opportunity. Perhaps with your help we can set a legal precedent with my case.

Donations are also welcome at this time. My GoFundMe can be found at: http://www.GoFundMe.com/LeadSafeMama and my “chip-in” link to contribute via PayPal or a credit card can be found here: Chip-In.

Thank you.
