The “Painting” part of the print:

I am sharing two sets of readings here. Given the different colors in the painting, readings vary across the whole piece but all fell within the range of the two samples shown below.

In general lead (Pb) in paint at these levels is considered a trace contaminant (safe by all standards).

In many applications where lead was removed from paint it was replaced with titanium – which is also shown in the levels below.

Sample One

  • Lead (Pb): 31 +/- 7 ppm
  • Barium (Ba): 178 +/- 115 ppm
  • Chromium (Cr): 133 +/- 82 ppm
  • Antimony (Sb): 58 +/- 28 ppm
  • Zinc (Zn): 31 +/- 12 ppm
  • Iron (Fe): 203 +/- 38 ppm
  • Titanium (Ti): 21,700 +/- 600 ppm

Sample Two

  • Lead (Pb): 40 +/- 8 ppm
  • Chromium (Cr): 179 +/- 86 ppm
  • Antimony (Sb): 51 +/- 25 ppm
  • Bromine (Br): 7 +/3 ppm
  • Tin (Sn): 30 +/- 18 ppm
  • Zinc (Zn): 46 +/- 13 ppm
  • Copper (Cu): 33 +/- 19 ppm
  • Iron (Fe): 284 +/- 43 ppm
  • Titanium (Ti): 27,300 +/- 700 ppm

The dark-stained wooden pole:

  • ND for all

Thank you for reading and for sharing.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
