The XRF metals reading for this item are:

• Zinc (Zn): 118 +/- 20 ppm
• Copper (Cu): 56 +/- 23 ppm
• Titanium (Ti): 932 +/- 530 ppm
• It was negative (ND/Non-Detect) for Lead (Pb), Arsenic (As), Cadmium (Cd) and Mercury (Hg.)

While this product tested negative (non-detect) for cadmium (Cd) the concern with a lot of silicone items I have tested in the past two years is that we often find trace levels of cadmium in the products (usually below 30 ppm.) This amount of cadmium is considered safe by all standards, but I still question the usefulness of the standards when these levels are being found in cookware items, children toys and personal care products (like menstrual cups) – especially given that cadmium is a known carcinogen.
