This vintage Fisher Price man tested positive for lead, cadmium and arsenic. His Blue plastic body was positive for lead at 106 +/- 11 ppm. His yellow hat is positive for lead at 3,213 +/- 71 ppm, cadmium at 23 +/- 12 ppm, and arsenic at 186 +/- 43 ppm. The configuration of the toy made it not possible to test his face and red scarf with the XRF.
Cadmium is considered unsafe for children at levels of 40 ppm and higher (by modern standards.) Lead is considered unsafe at levels of 90 ppm and higher.
Tested with an XRF instrument. All accessible components tested.
There is no date of manufacture noted on this toy.
Here is a modern (safe) version of the little people toys available on Amazon.
