Goodness me. This is the same light switches we have in three areas of our house and we have a toddler who has started to touch them. I was expressing concern the other week and my husband said they wouldn’t have lead. Then I see a photo of the same one on here. I was wondering if it’s the plate or the buttons or both? I don’t really know what they’re made of and if they’re both metal? I’ll certainly be calling someone to replace them soon. I have another concern which is old door handles. We have those and I know old brass can expose lead over time. I saw another post of yours which says lead in handles basically isn’t regulated (if they’re meant to be metal/look like metal). Does that mean it’s better to avoid metal door handles wholly?

Look for stainless options (true stainless, not “stainless look” or “stainless finish”). The back plate is what was positive.
