Newer Hydro Flasks (2017 and newer, based on what I have tested) seem to be consistently lead-free! In 2015/2016 Hydro Flask had offered to replace the older leaded products with a lead-free product, so it might be worth giving them a call to ask for a lead-free replacement if you have an older product!

I messaged Hydro Flask because I have a bottle made in 2014 & had concerns about the lead seal. They said to call them at 888.584.9376 to set up an exchange to get a new bottle for free. Thank you Tamara for everything you do. You are our shero!

Spoke to hydroflask today and Ethan (cs) put me on hold to ask about the lead and came back on and said they haven’t used lead since 2015, so my 2015 bottle is lead-free. I’m tossing it anyway.
Hello! Have you tested Yeti gallon jugs or Hydrojug? I’m looking for a gallon jug to carry water in to work.
Did you test this one for arsenic? The older ones you tested had arsenic. While I’m happy that the newer bottles are lead-free, I’m wondering if they still contain arsenic. Thanks!
How do we know the year of the bottle?
Call the company and share the numbers from the bottom of the bottle with them – the company will know. If you bought it recently it will be Lead-free.
