My entire family was exposed to lead because Home Depot contractors are NOT RRP-certified, NOT licensed, and are improperly insured. Our future now involves spending thousands of dollars on treatment and living with a lifetime of health issues. What we have uncovered shows that probably thousands have been exposed to lead by HD contractors across the country – and they have no idea; they will just begin to have awful health but no clue about lead exposure. The EPA opened an investigation into our situation, and despite actual evidence, closed the investigation based on Home Depot’s word that they are following the law. We have a mountain of evidence including Home Depot’s own SOP and policies, including audio recordings with Home Depot install employees saying that Home Depot has no intention of ever dealing with or enforcing lead laws among their contractors and audio recordings showing that a Home Depot install manager directly instructed his employees to lie to the EPA. Home Depot’s M.O. is to retaliate, cover up, or pay off to silence, while thousands get hurt because of their negligence.
I have been following this particular investigation and, interestingly, there seems to be no reported conclusion. No fines or penalties. Just silence. What is it going to take for Home Depot to be held accountable for their intentional negligence?

Hi Alicia!
Sorry I don’t have an answer for you. I haven’t heard any updates on this issue either. I will let you know if I hear anything.
