The people at Longmont Dairy (in Colorado) seem to be dismissive jerks. Here’s my note to them just now.
Check the bottom of your reusable glass milk bottle… If it says StanPac, chances are it is painted with high-Lead paint.
Stan Pac Longmont (Colorado) Dairy Farm Reusable Glass Milk Bottle: 38,500 ppm Lead in the black paint.
Harris Dairy Farm (Dayton, Maine) glass milk bottle by StanPac: Painted with Lead paint (23,700 ppm Lead, 90 is unsafe for kids).
Strafford Vermont Organic Creamery glass milk bottle by StanPac: Painted with red Lead paint (18,200 ppm Lead, 90 is unsafe)
Glass milk bottles from Oregon to Maine have Lead painted markings. This example from New Hampshire tested positive for 40,400 ppm Lead!!!
This piece links to all Lead Safe Mama milk bottle articles & I’m interested in testing more milk bottles, too!
