October 15, 2026 Update: Hollywood Reporter Article + 3 More Gimme Seaweed Lab Reports

As you can imagine… with the Hollywood Reporter news coverage of the smear campaign against us + all of the related (and tangential) legal actions we are engaged in right now, it’s been more than just a tad bit challenging to keep up with lab test reporting (but that’s their goal, right?)

I will otherwise start by sharing that this testing (for the Gimme Seaweed Snack retesting in 2026) and reporting was not fully funded but (per the details in the article) we felt they were a critical product to retest (as having a second round of lab reports in hand would support you all in your efforts to report this brand – and these products specifically- to the FDA so we can get some action taken against this company). You can find the details on how to report these to the FDA as well as the link to file your complaint in each of the four related articles.

The issue is not just the extreme levels of toxicants found in these Gimme Seaweed Snack products (and the levels are outrageous!), but – more so – the fact that Gimme Seaweed heavily / aggressively markets these snack products as safe for young children, to the point where families give them to their children daily (and sometimes multiple packages each and every day – especially as they can be purchased in bulk at Costco!)

I also wanted to remind you that we launched a GoFundMe to re-test the Hiya vitamin product that we originally also tested back in 2024. This was the lab report that – allegedly / apparently – kicked off this multi-year smear campaign against our work (a bought-and-paid for smear campaign that – if we are to believe the evidence uncovered to date – “allegedly” appears to have been paid for by / ordered by / orchestrated by the owners of Hiya Health), so we felt it would be prudent to do a retest now (with Arsenic speciation testing as well – IF we can raise enough money to do that!)
