September 29, 2026 Update: Help us do a new round of Gimme Seaweed Snack Testing!

Hello friends!

We published lab reports for two more UK products today. Thank you for checking these out! The links are below towards the bottom of this post. As always, the full original lab reports can be found at the very bottom of each article.

Before sharing the direct links to these new lab reports I did want to let you all know that we launched a new fundraiser to raise the funds to cover the costs of testing and reporting on four different flavors of the Gimme Seaweed Snack Products. Our intention behind this specific testing project is to gather enough evidence about the products from this brand (this is a re-test of their products that we initially tested and reported on in 2024), so that we can convince the FDA that the products should either be recalled OR at a minimum that they should be marked with a clear warning label stating that they are not an acceptable product to be fed to children (primarily given the Lead levels, which – based on our testing in 2024 – significantly exceed the current Federal guidance on Lead contamination limits for foods marketed and sold for consumption by young children).

If we raise enough to cover our full costs of testing and reporting for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic — we will follow up by also doing Arsenic speciation testing on at least one flavor from this brand (so that we have at least one more data point demonstrating that these products are dangerous to feed to children).
