Can you please recommend a gluten free bread? I’m disabled and can’t cook and almost all GF bread has rice flour, eggs, wheat, vinegar, and/or potato starch and psyllium husk! I recently found out I have allergies to wheat and eggs and I have bladder and digestive problems so vinegar and psyllium husk things like that affect me so I need more testing but I can’t find a gluten free bread that will suit me.
Debi, maybe can you eat a corn bread? I know it is not the same as regular bread but it’s something I thought of. Cornbread is popular in some areas and you might be able to find a GF version in a store’s bakery section or one you can order for delivery online.
Since you have a limited diet, could you consult with a licensed dietician for recommendations, with a referral from your doctor if needed? Also, if you qualify for Meals on Wheels (since you are disabled and can’t cook) they may have gluten-free meal options available for you. I just found this March 2026 article all about cadmium sources and how to reduce cadmium absorption and in food: https://scienceinsights.org/how-to-reduce-cadmium-in-food-and-limit-absorption/ .
Thank you for digging around and finding more info! I will read asap (kids underfoot right now!)
