Comparative Charts with Lab Test Results for Various Unsweetened Electrolyte Products
Published: August 13, 2026 — Thursday
We have tested and/or reported on 5 different unsweetened electrolyte powder products to date.
There are two charts below, one which arranges these five products in order of Lead-Level (ascending), and the other that organizes them in order of Arsenic level (ascending).
We have not yet identified an electrolyte product that had “non-detect” results for all heavy metals (specifically the four heavy metals we typically test and report on: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, & Arsenic). All five samples of unsweetened electrolyte products that we have tested to date have tested positive for Lead, and four of the five have tested positive for Arsenic.
The full original lab report for each product can be found at the very bottom of the product-specific article (noting we have one pending lab report that will be published shortly).
In order of the numbers (1 through 5) noted on the Comparative Chart of Arsenic Levels (the first chart below), the links to each of the articles with lab reports for the products included in these charts is below, just above the two comparative charts..
Key point: with each of these products the addition of a flavor (as a non-substantive ingredient) is not likely to impact the test results for other products in the same class from the same brand (unless the flavor is a known heavily contaminated ingredient — for example cocoa or cinnamon). For example, berry and unflavored are likely to test similar. Click the link below to see each product-specific article and lab report.
1.) LMNT — Unflavored
2.) Just Ingredients, Mango Lemonade
3.) Manufacturer Product Sample Tested Privately (no report published)
4.) Redmond’s Re-Lyte — Unflavored
5.) SALTT Clean Slate — Unflavored (to be published shortly)
Again , both comparative charts are below (in order of Lead-Level, ascending – and in order of Arsenic-Level, ascending).
If you are interested in having a different specific electrolyte product tested, we would like to encourage you to check out our $25.00 and $50.00 a month Patreon Levels (link here), or alternately you can nominate a product for community funded / crowd sourced testing via a GoFundMe campaign (this can take as long as year — or longer — to fund) – link here. Alternately you can sponsor the full cost of testing and reporting on a product (our current full, unsubsidized cost to test a single product for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Arsenic and report the results publicly on our website is $695.00). More on that here.
