Hi friends!
–
I wanted to share an update on lab reports with you.
–
As of today – August 20, 2026 – we have published seven lab reports so far this month.
–
One of these was fully funded and six were not funded.
–
The $3,000 a month we receive in undesignated gifted funds via Patreon helped to cover the costs of testing and reporting for the six otherwise-not-funded reports ($3,000 / 6 = $500.00 per report published, which is the low end of our costs before we cover our copyright filings and some other administrative costs related to the work).
–
Here’s the link to our budget for testing and reporting if you have not yet seen that:

–
That your combined support is now helping to cover testing and reporting for at least six products each month is excellent news!
–
While I will be working on updating our spreadsheet with the detailed allocation of otherwise undesignated gifted funds (you can find the most recent version of that here: https://tamararubin.com/2026/02/feb-2026-gifted-funds/ ) looking at this a little more simply moving forward (using our total gifted monthly Patreon support as a direct basis to fund testing and reporting that is otherwise not funded) makes a lot of sense.
–
To this end (to help us keep track of this and to help you keep track of this), we have added a new clickable keyword string to each of the articles (these are the hyperlinked words you can find at the top of each article). This current new tab is “Lab Report Published August 2026”. In this way you can click through to any of the recently published articles and then click that string of words (found directly under the article title and above the navigation buttons) to quickly and easily see which other lab reports have been published this month. Here’s the link with all of the August 2026 published reports. We will continue this new tagging system into future months and will also work backwards on setting up this hyperlink code for previous months:

–
This tag also shows only the lab reports published (for those who are not interested in – or don’t have time to read – our other articles and comparative charts).
–
Now that we have (officially) allocated the Patreon funding raised and pledged in August, we are going to be working on publishing six more lab reports in the coming days — for testing and reporting that was either fully funded or partly funded — so stand by for those as well. These include an electrolyte product, two toothpastes, a prenatal supplement, a sunscreen, and a zinc supplement.
–
Thank you in advance to everyone who is making all of this testing and reporting possible!
–
We did finally just make it past $3,000.00 a month in gifted support yesterday. Woot!
–
Today we are currently at $3,001.00 in gifted Patreon membership support each month (every time we get new supporters, we also have a supporter or two cancel their membership – so the numbers go up and down a little bit each day and this is where we are at today).
–
Thank you especially to those of you who helped make reaching this goal possible!
–
Our next goal (slightly updated) is to reach $3,350 in monthly support, as that will make it possible to fund / subsidize the testing and reporting of SEVEN products each month (including one chosen by a Patreon member contributing at either the $25.00 or $50.00 a month level — after they have contributed $150.00 and chosen a product for testing).
–
I do want to say that it has been fun for me to chat with these new members each month when they are choosing a product to test. They typically email or text me with a list of 3 to 5 products they are interested in testing and then we talk about the pros and cons of testing the different products (including the benefit to them and the possible benefit to the community for testing specific products). We also discuss which products on their list are likely to test positive for toxicants and which are likely to test clean (based on the testing and reporting we have done to date). It’s a fun new collaborative twist in our process, and it has been nice getting to know more of you better through this new program.

Thank you all for being part of our community!

More new lab reports shortly!
