We’re not a “she” we’re a woman-owned small business for childhood LEAD POISONING PREVENTION & consumer goods safety (with a team of 7 + 7 attorneys working with us).

Food toxicity is measured in PARTS PER BILLION (for heavy metals), NOT Parts Per Million – this is a matter of scientific consensus and is only challenged by manufacturers, shills for manufacturers, and influencers trying to sell you contaminated products.

We’re not misrepresenting anything.

We currently (& for all of 2026) have no partnerships with any brands or products (affiliate links we share are only to products that we have tested ourselves that have tested clean and can be purchased on Amazon).

Nearly every article and comparative chart mentions the context for the action levels and all have links to comparative test results for other foods.

I don’t have any products ( a friend sells Lead Safe Mama Lip Balm, but that is to benefit her — she’s a single mom of a kiddo who had some Lead exposure in their apartment — not me, and I don’t sell that, she does).

IF YOU ARE NOT HERE FOR LEAD POISONING PREVENTION ADVOCACY – GO AWAY! You are on the wrong page and we don’t care what you think.

The work we do here is not fear mongering, it’s science education. Our hope is that – with this education – you will never need our services (we help families in crisis – normally families with acutely lead poisoned children).

Sounds like this derfnoodle needs to (put on a shirt and) learn to read articles instead waiting to be served up all the deets on social media. Dude that’s not how science works – start reading!

Since Lead Safe Mama LLC has always (as far as I’m aware) advocated for transparency I’m going to assume my posts are accidentally getting blocked for some reason. The seller of the lip balm you linked is claiming “Help support Tamara Rubin and her advocacy work, Lead Safe Mama. Half of each sale goes directly to her to help in her efforts.” However you claim in the above article you (or LSM LLC I assume) gain no benefit from her selling this specific product. Can you please shed some light on this apparent discrepancy? As a consumer and supporter of your work I find it deeply concerning if she is misleading people into purchasing her product thinking they are supporting LSM or you personally. Thank you for any clarification.

Your posts have not been blocked, we’ve been traveling for the past month (have driven over 6,500 miles!) and have not had a chance to review and approve all recent comments.
Comments on the website are always held for review and approved individually by a real person.
I will connect with Jess on your question. Initially (eight years ago!) she had been sending $ with each sale but there were so few purchases that we stopped tracking it, and that’s been fine with me (because I really want to help support her too!)
We’re close friends now – I sleep on her couch when I visit Los Angeles & she makes me amazing meals! Our kids are friends too.
Last week I was raising funds to cover the cost of copyright registration of lab reports and she sent me $20.00 to help.
I will check with her to make sure she updates her site to match what is true for our relationship now, which has changed since she initially started making this lip balm with the Lead Safe Mama, LLC logo on it (in 2018).
Things change, sometimes it takes a while to update websites (I had forgotten that she had originally posted that – again, we see almost no sales of the lip balms and she helps Lead Safe Mama, LLC in so many other ways it hasn’t been a priority for me to check in on it).
Essentially, since there were so few sales we stopped tracking it in any kind of formal way & I am just thankful for her support in any way she can help. For example we left our car with her for three weeks when we headed out on the cross country trip – which was with another car – and just picked it up from her place yesterday! She helped by taking the Lead Safe Mama mobile to the mechanic for us after we left it with her – no $ changed hands we’re just friends who help each other because we believe in each other.)

Hello, recently joined your page. I’ve been comparing a lot of items tested for with what I have in my home. Thank you so much for these tests, can’t believe I didn’t find your page sooner! Anyway, I saw the kid vitamin testing and was shocked to see the heavy metal levels were so high in the Hiya vitamins. Is there a way I can save the report or access it? I was giving these to my children and now I have some questions for the hiya company.
