FOUR Newly Published Sunscreen Lab Reports!

June 30, 2026
Tuesday

Hi friends!

Hello from Boston (well, Somerville, MA at this exact moment – headed to Cambridge shortly!)

We’re writing today to let you know that we have published FOUR MORE sunscreen lab reports!

These four reports are the LAST of the sunscreen reports that we have had pending & the links to the articles with those reports can be found below.

We still have only found two sunscreen products with non-detect results for Lead, you can see those products on these links (aflinks) – they are each chemical sunscreens (which – of course – bring other considerations with them):
1. https://amzn.to/4bkMykG
2. https://amzn.to/4v3Sp56

We will be wrapping up our updates to our comparative chart with sunscreen test results shortly and will get you the link to the newly updated chart as soon as that update is published. Here’s the link to the page with the current version of the chart in the meantime:

We do not have plans to send any more sunscreens into the lab for testing at this time. The only thing that will change this is if one or more of our not-yet-funded campaigns to cover our costs for sunscreen testing and reporting reaches the set goal (or if someone wanted to make a generous gift to help cover our ongoing sunscreen testing costs more generally) Here’s the link with all of the pending sunscreen campaigns in case there is one for which you would like to make a contribution so we can get that product sent off to the lab and publish the report sooner than later:

Thanks for your ongoing support, especially as Lead Safe Mama, LLC continues to face significant legal challenges from companies that truly do not want our business to exist!

Since yesterday we received one more $65.00 contribution in support of our copyright filing efforts (thank you, Becky!) — This brings the remaining number of reports that we can publish (after publishing the four linked below) to six more! We will be publishing those six new reports over the coming 24 hours (ish!), so stand by! We would like to be able to publish another five in addition to those, but would need to raise at least five more $65.00 copyright filing fees in order to make that possible

If you want to learn more about that situation (including better understanding of how each $65.00 copyright filing fee we pay could result in $750 to $150,000 in statutory damages payable to Lead Safe Mama, LLC for anyone – or any business – violating copyright law in the future), check out yesterday’s update on this link:
https://tamararubin.com/2026/06/copyright/

This whole situation cropped up in response to our learning that an app (based on a promise of sharing lab reports) had stolen nearly all of our published lab reports, using AI to illegally scrape our website of our clearly copyrighted materials, using Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s published lab reports as a basis for their app and for making literally millions of dollars annually by charging consumers a significant annual fee to view our lab reports (the very same lab reports that are available on our website free of charge / not behind a paywall of any kind!) In doing this they have also consistently misrepresented the data (including misrepresenting which products were tested / which products belong to which test results), and at least one product manufacturer is suing them for misrepresenting the data from our lab reports (that they stole and published in their app!) #SoMuchDrama!

in addition to these five filing fees our current operating shortfall as we wrap up the month of June is $1,600.64 (primarily due to the fact that we needed to pay our legal team a $2,000 installment payment towards their $25,000+ bill this past week). If you are in a position to support the work of Lead Safe Mama, LLC today, a one time contribution of $65.00 would help us cover the new copyright filing fee for one of our lab reports, or even simply joining us as a paid Patreon member (if you have not yet) or – if you already are a paid Patreon member – bumping your Patreon membership up by $1.00 or $2.00 a month would make a big difference (especially if everyone who has benefitted from the information we provide did this!)

Here’s our Patreon Membership page link (Check out the $25.00 and $50.00 membership options while you are there – just for fun. These options provide a way for our community to be more involved in choosing the products we test and report on!): https://www.patreon.com/leadsafemama/membership

Here are other ways to send financial contributions* – support in any amount is always welcome. Thank you!
