15 New Products At the Lab This Week!

June 21, 2026
Sunday

Hi friends!

I hope you are having a good Father’s Day. My husband is enjoying a few weeks home alone (while we are on the road!) as his “father’s day” gift!

Earlier today we had two lovely Lead Safe Mama meetups with new friends in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – and are headed to Arkansas this afternoon (and then on to Tennessee and Kentucky from there). Please text me if you are in-or-near Murfreesboro, Arkansas and would like to meet up and say hello: 415-609-3182 (we’re planning on being in the area at least two days – and may extend this section of our cross-country trip by another day or two).

We had also planned on going down to New Orleans this year as part of this summer’s “2026 Lead Safe Mama Cross Country Tour” but it looks like we may not make it to New Orleans this trip (although that is still up in the air – so if you are in New Orleans, let us know and if we get enough requests we will see if we can head south before getting back on the road towards Boston!)

In other news… this past week we sent 15 products to the lab!!!
Including Popular Products from Trader Joes!

Most of these 15 products are popular products sold by Trader Joe’s.

Six of the 15 products that are currently at the lab are shown in the image grid with this post.

Testing and reporting for three of those six were sponsored by Lead Safe Mama community members (including one product that was nominated for testing by a Patreon member in the $25 or $50 per month membership category).

The three other products are the Trader Joe’s products we said that we would send to the lab when we passed 6,000, 6.100 and 6,200 Patreon members – which we did!

Thanks for helping us to meet and pass those Patreon membership goals!

We’re currently at 6,221 Patreon members and testing and reporting of Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend will be subsidized when we pass 6,600 Patreon members – so please join us as a Patreon member if you have not yet.

We still do need to raise the remaining funds to cover our reporting costs for each of the Trader Joe’s products (and for the Azure Standard Cassava Flour product which was only partially funded via membership contributions), so please do consider bumping up your Patreon membership today.

If everyone in our community who is not yet a paid member bumped their membership up by just $1.00 or $2.00 a month we would easily cover all of these costs (which would make it possible for us to get the lab reports for the not fully funded products published much more quickly — and would also help cover costs of our legal fund!)

NEXT UP: More Costco Products

After we’ve completed (and funded) this round of testing for Trader Joe’s products, our next project will be to do a round of testing specifically for more not-yet-tested products from Costco — but we do need your financial support to help make that happen. [We cannot move on to the Costco product-testing initiative until the Trader Joes testing and reporting is fully funded!]

Copyright Lawsuit Update

I wanted to take a moment to send out a giant THANK YOU to everyone who contributed in support of our copyright registrations (for that upcoming legal case). We have successfully registered 10 Lead Safe Mama, LLC Product Testing Lab Reports with the US Copyright Office. These cost us a registration fee of $65.00 each (plus the cost of our team’s time).

While we have a total of 49 that we need to register for this legal case (which will likely result in statutory damages being levied against the person and business using all of our lab reports without permission) — of those 49 there are a total of 27 that are most urgent (17 of which have not been registered yet – for $1,105 in more urgent costs we need to cover asap). So if you are able to help with this initiative – a loan or gift of $65.00 will cover our registration for the copyright for one of these relevant lab reports and would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering this request. Please email me at Tamara@LeadSafeMama.com to let me know if your $65.00 is a loan or a gift, and I will get back to you to confirm receipt!

Just in case you missed it… a summary of the situation:

An app is using AI to scrape all of our copyrighted lab reports from our website and use our lab reports within their app (this is literally HUNDREDS of our lab reports).

This app has not asked our permission to use our lab reports and they – in most cases – have not acknowledged our work as the primary source of their lab reports.

This app is also charging people almost $50.00 a year for access to our lab reports (when they are all already available for free on the Lead Safe Mama website – and will continue to be available for free in our soon-to-be-released app!)

The owner / founder of this app has shared publicly that he is making literally millions of dollars each year (earnings that are primarily being generated by his theft of our copyrighted materials in this way).

Earlier this month (June 2026) we gave this person / this company the opportunity to legally license our copyrighted materials for an annual fee (suggesting a reasonable / relatively inexpensive fee for them that would actually be enough to fully fund our current lab testing initiative, yet would give him / his app / his company continued usage of our lab reports within his app).

This person did not respond. He chose to not take us up on this reasonable and fair opportunity — so we are pursuing legal channels for restitution. This is not just about this person / this app using our copyrighted reports without permission, but it is also an important case because this app is frequently misrepresenting the data in those lab reports (to the point that they are being sued by at least on product manufacturer for misrepresenting the data we have generated!)

While all of the materials on our website are copyrighted by nature of the fact that we created them / paid for them / published them on our website (and therefore protected to some degree) – copyright law is much stronger when each copyrighted work / document has been registered with the US Copyright Office.

Luckily copyright law protecting registered works is extra strong and statutory damages are readily awarded in cut & dry cases like this (where the unlicensed usage is obvious, pervasive and demonstrably willful). It is for this reason we are working towards registering all of our recently lab reports (from the past three months) with the US Copyright Office.

After we file these registrations (for all of our recently published documents especially), should the courts find in our favor (which we have been advised is likely) – we should easily recoup this new cost of filing a copyright registration for each of our published lab reports (which is why we are requesting this support from our commmunity today in the form of small loans – if community members would prefer to loan us the funds instead of contributing the funds outright).

Managing this copyright lawsuit has (unfortunately) temporarily paused our publishing of some of our lab reports as we make sure that anything we publish meets new protocols (based on advice from the two copyright attorneys helping us with this case!) We do – however – plan on continuing publishing new lab reports very soon — so please do stand by for that (and sorry about the delay!)
