We posted the above three images on Social Media today with the following caption:

Reminder… important context to remember: all relevant federal agencies agree with the consensus within the scientific and medical communities that there is no safe level of lead exposure for human beings. Having a heavily lead-contaminated product be promoted by a doctor (with DOCTOR in the product’s name or company name) is nothing short of medical greenwashing.

The higher level of lead that we found in these products (identified with independent, third party, community funded, laboratory testing) is 963.8 parts per billion – just 36.2 parts per billion shy of the level that is now illegal in Washington State (easily a gap that can be filled with a reasonable rounding upwards, or with batch specific variation given how high the level is).

No safe level means no safe level.

These products are also marketed and sold for use by children! As we have always stated, this is not illegal in a Federal Level.
This SHOULD BE illegal.
Selling tooth cleaning products that you market for use by children – products that have notable levels of multiple carcinogens and neurotoxins should be CRIMINALLY illegal.

It should also be criminal for a doctor to be using their medical degree title of “Doctor” to sell and market a MERCURY contaminated tooth powder product – a product that goes in your MOUTH – that goes in your mouth on purpose!

What Century is this?
It feels like we’re back in 1810 when they thought Mercury was a health protective substance!
