And then there were 45!

Below is an EXPANDING list of products (foods and supplements) that have tested “non-detect” for Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, and Arsenic with independent, third-party, crowd-funded laboratory testing coordinated by Lead Safe Mama, LLC (an Oregon-based small business with a unique community-collaborative business model and a focus on consumer goods safety and childhood Lead poisoning prevention).

The limits of detection for each of the metals tested are noted in the lab report for the specific product listed. To see the full lab report for any of these products, type the brand name into the search bar at the top of any page on Lead Safe Mama dot com (and scroll down to the bottom of the related article).

Flavors tested are noted, and other flavors of the same product (or other products from the same brand) have either not been tested or have been tested but did not yield similar results. Test results only apply to the specific products linked below.

  1. Have you any recommendations for a safe children’s vitamin? Swallowable preferably. Mary Ruths was not a big fan of taste. My kids swallow pills.

  2. Thank you, Tamara for all your hard work! I was wondering if the supplement PECTASOL was already tested. I remember helping to rich the goal on go fund me list. Thank you again. Many, many blessing to you and your family.

    1. It was – and it came back “less than 10” across the board, but that was not a sufficiently low reading for us (we want to make sure it is “less than 5” across the board, so we are needing to have it retested. Unfortunately that happened with nearly everything we sent to the lab in September (61 items!) so since we are being charged full retail to re-do most of the testing we have not been able to do it all at once (nearly $15,000 in retesting costs, not including our admin costs related to that). It’s been a bit of a nightmare. That said, the preliminary test did come back “less than 10” – so that’s better than a poke-in-the-eye! 😉 I am going to be publishing some of the reports for those items that need to be retested shortly, but I needed to come up with a way to communicate that to the general public that was clear and concise… “yes this tested negative, but not really – we need to test again!” 🙂
