For those new to this website:
Tamara Rubin is a multiple-Federal-award-winning independent advocate for childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety, and a documentary filmmaker. She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005). Since 2009, Tamara has been using XRF technology (a scientific method used by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) to test consumer goods for toxicants (specifically heavy metals — including Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Antimony, and Arsenic). All test results reported on this website are science-based, accurate, and replicable. Items are tested multiple times to confirm the test results for each component tested. Tamara’s work was featured in Consumer Reports Magazine in February of 2023 (March 2023 print edition).
July 28, 2023 — Friday
My son A.J.’s 21st Birthday, too!
While YOU might find these tiresome or boring… I really like making these stats summaries for the Lead Safe Mama website each month (it’s fun and relaxing for me to create these graphics!). Plus, watching the numbers for the reach and impact of Lead Safe Mama, LLC’s work crawl upward each month is exciting. Today — July 28, 2023 — the month of July 2023 is in “14th place” for “Best Month Ever,” unless something goes viral or an article we were interviewed for and are waiting to go live is finally published. 🙂 We should be closing out the month in 12th place :-).
Noted by husband:
My husband took a look at the above graphic and noticed that six of the 15 top months ever for the reach and impact of this work have been in 2023 (months in green and bold on the graphic). That’s great. 🙂 He also casually remarked that he would like to see the 2019 dates age off the chart. I responded by saying, if that happened… we’d be paying all our bills (lol!). (Because if that happened, all of the months would have more than 1,303,000 page views [more than twice the sustainability goal for Lead Safe Mama, LLC — the point at which the work we do here will fully covers the related costs of continuing!])
Otherwise, July will reach 13th place tomorrow (7/29) and then 12th place by the next day (7/30). In any case, it’s still our “Best July Ever” for reach and readership — so that’s promising (and exciting) that our impact keeps growing. Thanks to all of you for helping make that happen! Following up on our work on the Cupkin recall, stand by for more Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Product Safety Violation Reports; I have a few I am trying to submit/publish before the end of the month.
