For those new to this website:
Tamara Rubin is a multiple-Federal-award-winning independent advocate for childhood Lead-poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety, and a documentary filmmaker. She is also a mother of Lead-poisoned children (two of her sons were acutely Lead-poisoned in 2005). Since 2009, Tamara has been using XRF technology (a scientific method used by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) to test consumer goods for toxicants (specifically heavy metals — including Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Antimony, and Arsenic). All test results reported on this website are science-based, accurate, and replicable. Items are tested multiple times to confirm the test results for each component tested. Tamara’s work was featured in Consumer Reports Magazine in February of 2023 (March 2023 print edition).

Hey, @everyone! If you are shopping for Amazon Prime Day, please remember to start your shopping with a click on a Lead Safe Mama, LLC Amazon link. It makes no difference to you but makes a huge difference in support of the funding we receive to continue the work we do!
Reminder: https://amzn.to/46O6WqL (aflink). You don’t need to purchase what I recommend in order for Lead Safe Mama, LLC to receive a percentage of what you spend on Amazon in support of our programs for childhood Lead poisoning prevention and consumer goods safety. You just need to start ANY Amazon shopping you are doing with a click on ANY of our affiliate links. Thank you for supporting this work in this simple and FREE way.
Yesterday, Amazon clicks from Lead Safe Mama readers earned us: $171.17!
And with that … my husband’s favorite butt wipes for all the boys in our house. We have these delivered monthly! (https://amzn.to/46O6WqL aflink)

So basically, if I click on one of your affiliate links on Amazon (like the Dude wipes for example), and then go to the search bar to search other products I want, and make a purchase of something else, that’s all I need to do for you to get some kind of benefit? I would be happy to do that, as I think you do very important work. I’m just a little confused as to how to go about doing it. Also, I have a question about enamelware. Is all enamelware bad, whether you cook in it or not? Thanks!
Tamara says
Yes! That’s all! Thank you.
Tamara says
Most enamelware tests positive for some toxicant and some for multiple (Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic or Antimony.) We don’t use any enamelware in our home.
