I would like to buy these four (now updated to five) stand mixers (images and links above and below) to test. If you think I should test a different brand or example, please let me know. Below is a list of the affiliate links for each of these so you can find them on Amazon and read the different features.
If you would like to chip in to help buy these you can Venmo me $ @ TamaraERubin (four digits: 3182) and please put “Stand mixer purchase” in your comments and I will report back here with updates on $ raised to purchase these.
As of this moment – 11:28 a.m. PST – 2/8/2023 – Wednesday:
$50.00 has been raised towards this effort
If any of them tests clean I will do a free raffle to give them away (because I do NOT need these sitting around in my storage unit and will not personally be using them – lol – as a mother of disabled kiddos I have almost zero time for baking/cooking!) My dance card is really full but if I can raise enough to purchase these this month I will test them and report the results in March after I am caught up with my other testing (stuff folks have sent in and stuff I have bought / collected over the past 6 months or so.)
If there is a brand or model you think I should test and it is not in this group, please let me know and I will look into it and add it to the list:
1. Instant Brands (aka “Evil Empire”) https://amzn.to/3HJQyvz
2. GE: https://amzn.to/3YzFrvU
3. Cuisinart: https://amzn.to/3XjkSTn
4. Hamilton Beach: https://amzn.to/3XbZBLC
5. Just added based on reader requests (I don’t understand how this qualifies as a stand mixer – but ok!), Bosch: https://amzn.to/3RIB1k7
Amazon links are affiliate links. If you purchase something (anything) after clicking on the link I share – Lead Safe Mama, LLC may receive a percentage of what you spend at no extra cost to you. You do not need to buy what I link to for us to receive a percentage of what you spend. We earned $260.98 from your amazon link clicks yesterday! One of our best days ever! Thank you.
My Bosch mixer is older and the middle, metal part of the dough mixer is a different metal than the stainless steel arms and is very suspicious to me. I’m not sure if they’ve changed it, it looks different in the pictures of the machine in Amazon!!
Alex, I have an older Bosch as well (as does my mother and mother in law). I know what you mean, honestly, I’d be surprised if that part didn’t test positive for bad stuff, it does seem awfully suspect. That piece, plus the metal post in the middle of the bowl the attachments go on…
Also curious about Bosch. I’ve been looking into replacing my kitchen aid with a bosch mixer!
Ankarsrum is a direct competitor to the Kitchen Aid when it comes to dough making. Please add to your list!
