Are all duralex considered safe or just the blue or gray?
Good question! I want to know too, and if the whole company brand is safe because I have some of their storage containers in clear. I love the quality of them.
I have the same question, is the clear glass also safe? I see that all the colors of this brand other than the clear version are posted as safe!
I’d love to know the answer to this too. I’d like to buy clear glasses in another style from Duralex.

Re: lead in the clear glasses — if you ask a question in the Ask Rufus prompt on the product page (“Are these glasses lead-free?”), you get the following response:
“Yes, the Duralex Picardie Tempered Glass Tumblers are lead-free. According to the manufacturer, these French-made glasses are made from soda-lime glass and are “completely lead and cadmium free.”
Scrolling through the reviews is a bit alarming, though, especially when the reviewers have posted photos. Many customers say that these glasses seem to spontaneously shatter in the dishwasher, with several people reporting that the glasses broke as they were removing them from the dw. I’d be careful about these…
Ours have lasted for years without any kind of breakage. Granted – we don’t own a dishwasher… just my husband’s hands!
