I love this one – but don’t own it personally (yet). Will probably buy it some day (when I have my kitchen back together!) https://amzn.to/3HySmcv

the Pyrex dish with a lid has many comments on Amazon that state that it exploded in their ovens.

I have this pyrex dish, but I bought it several years ago (at least 7, maybe more) and it has a slight bluish green tint around the interior rim and also at the handle, which it also appears to have in the amazon picture of it. In the past you have written that if glass is not completely clear it may be recycled and have heavy metals in it. I am also wondering if the tint that I see is an optical illusion, since I find it strange that it is not throughout the entire dish and cover. Is it possible that mine is also lead free; have you tested any of these dishes that were as old as mine and had this slight tint? Thanks for your reply and all that you do.

I am wondering about the same thing. Have you tested this product, Tamara? If you did, please post the test results especially for your followers. Thanks!

I have tested it for a client and it was lead free, but I haven’t done a post with test results.

Wondering of you have tested Pillivuyt bakeware? I have some of their baking dishes, plain white, but I recently noticed that they no longer advertise that their products are lead free and cadmium free! I had planned to order some of their dinnerware, but I will be disappointed if I learn that they contain toxic material. Have you tested Pillivuyt and if so, is it safe to use?

How old was the one you tested and did it have the tint? Was it also free of other heavy metals?

Thank you for what you do! What about Pillivuyt? I have some of their bakeware and I love it. I noticed they no longer advertise leadfree and cadmium free, which concerns me! I planned to get some of their dinner plates and coffee mugs. I will be disappointed if I find out they contain toxic elements. Have you tested Pillivuyt and if so, is it safe?

Hi Tamara,
I found your website while exploring lead in china.
I have the Blue Danube pattern made by Lipper. It has three different backstamps denoting when they were made, which ranges from 1951-2010 (when it was discontinued). This is porcelain china.
Have you ever tested this pattern (newer or older versions)? It’s one of the most popular patterns. The dishes made in the 2000s are supposedly lead free (the box says so) but I wonder about the the other dishes made between 1951 and 2000?
Thanks so much,
