Happy Birthday To Me (I’m 53!) For my birthday today I am going to find out how much Lead is in the soil by Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris!
November 20, 2022 – Sunday
Here’s what I just posted on social media:
For my birthday today I am going to Notre Dame (in Paris) to test the soil and surrounding area for Lead. I am so geeky excited about this. I can’t wait to learn about how the fire impacted the surrounding areas. I will be taking videos and sharing them later too – so stand by.
Since the fire I have warned families with young children to stay away from Paris (especially to not stay in hotels directly in Paris or near Notre Dame.) We are staying outside of Paris – so I am following my own advice (in case you are curious!)
Do you want to do something fun for my birthday? Enter my giveaway! It closes at 8:29 a.m. Saginaw, Michigan time (since that’s when and where I was born) so you have less than 7 hours to enter and I am giving away more than $10,000 in stuff – including an Organic mattress from Naturepedic (worth thousands of dollars) and of than $1000 in pans from Solidteknics and Lead free toy keys from Kleynimals. The grand prize is a free one on one home consultation with me! Link with details on how to enter is below in comments.
Also – if you want to make a contribution in support of my advocacy for my birthday – link for that is below too! Thank you! I hope you have a great day!

Yikes, I would be scared to go into the fallout zone from the fire, but I guess most of the lead distributed will now be in the soil. Thank you for doing this. It will be very interesting to see the results. For comparison, the UK mean urban soil level is 276 mg/kg with up to 820 mg/kg the top of the “normal” range.

Happy Birthday Tamara! . Just seeing this so think I missed the giveaway. Darn! Anxious to see the results your Notre Dame testing. That fire was so so tragic! It was like watching history burn before my eyes as I watched some of the coverage on TV. I hadn’t thought about all the fallout in Paris during that time, other than right in the area.
Have a great birthday!
Jeanne
A very Happy Birthday to you. I thank God for the Gift of your life and the light you bring to the darkness!!! Enjoy your special day & your new journey year!!
Happy Birthday
Dear Tamara, Hope you had a great birthday. Lucky you to be touring in Europe! I know there are a missionaries in Paris who have a mentally disabled child, I was concerned about the people but have seen nothing about the lead problem? I often wonder if all of Europe is contaminated with lead since people have inhabited some places for thousands of years and especially the cathedrals that are hundreds of years old as well as most? of the houses. Stay safe but also enjoy your travels!
Wishing you a belated, Happiest of Birthdays! How wonderful that you are spending it in Paris.
