Over the past 6 months or so – members of the Lead Safe Mama team (including volunteer mamas from our community sharing their stories) have been working closely with NPR journalists (and other journalists!) around the country to help increase the public understanding of the depth and breadth of the issue of childhood Lead poisoning in America today.
Here’s a new piece from NPR (published today). This story features an interview with Jennifer (one of our mamas in Michigan), and the story about her child’s poisoning [likely caused by a vintage consumer item in her home]. Thank you so much to Jennifer for sharing your story! Click the image below to read the full story – and listen to the 4-minute audio piece, as well. & Remember… #LeadSafeMama is not a person or a business… It’s a movement! To each and every one of you (Lead Safe Mama readers), thanks for being part of this movement!

Are you ready for this? How about edibles that contain lead. Really? Watch those bubble teas.
